Army, Department of Defense and White House, to private law firm practice and the top legal job at Starbucks, to writing, recording and leading her own band as an esteemed musician, Paula excels and makes an indelible impact in everything she does. During this fireside chat interview, Paula will delve into how she had the courage to be the first and how she sets the standard for excellence – partly, by overcoming failures along the way. With probing questions posed by author and workplace expert Debbie Epstein Henry, Paula will uncover how she channeled grief and fear and invited creativity into her life to garner both success and meaning. She’ll show us how diversity, equity and inclusion can be woven into the fabric of our every day to bring us more purpose and satisfaction. She’ll also leave us humming “music for the soul” with her “Seattle Brewed Soul Grass,” a magical fusion of folk, blue grass, jazz, rock and world music.
