DEH Speaker Series Event ~ The Evolving Legal Talent Pool

September 22, 2017

This event will take place at Baker & McKenzie LLP on November 16, 2017 from 12-2PM and by webcast. Register for this event The Evolving Legal Talent Pool.  The Evolving Legal Talent Pool.  A lawyer’s career path was traditionally very linear and unforgiving.  However, over the last decade, that rigid path has begun to erode, making way for a more creative means to build a legal career.  At this session, we will explore the changing demographic of lawyers who are receptive to alternative career paths.  We will uncover how the economy and other drivers have triggered these shifts in a lawyer’s career trajectory and how Baby Boomers and Millennials have joined the ranks of some women who first carved this path.  We will explore how law firms can become smarter in staffing their matters to be more responsive to client needs.  We will debate how in-house legal departments and law firms can become more effective at developing their talent and how a focus on diverse lawyers will be integral to that plan.  Attendees will leave this event with a greater understanding of the opportunities that present and the challenges that remain in catering to clients and cultivating talent in an ever-changing legal market.
